Personal data processing notice
for a participant of the Scholarship Programme

Your personal data controller is the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow, with its registered office at Świętego Tomasza 43, 31-027 Kraków.

Data protection supervisor

Data protection supervisor has been appointed. You may contact him / her with regard to issues related to our processing of your personal data. You may contact the supervisor at the following e-mail address: iodo@amuz.krakow.pl.

Purposes of the data processing operation and legal basis for processing

Your personal data will be processed on the basis of:

  • your consent, as referred to in Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR, to the publication of information and photos for the purposes of promotion of the Scholarship Programme;
  • generally applicable legal provisions of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (Dz. U. [Journal of Laws] from 2018, item 1668), in accordance with Art. 6 (1)(c) GDPR
  • the conditions for participating in the Scholarship Programme (general rules of participation in the Scholarship Programme, the agreement concluded with your higher education institution) and the accepted recruitment regulations and rules for the allocation of funds, i.e. Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR,
  • the legitimate interest of the Supervisor, in accordance with Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR, which is understood for example as pursuing or defending the possible legal claims.

Personal data storage period

The personal data will be stored within the time of fulfillment of the above-mentioned objective, and then for a period of 5 years. If the basis for the processing of personal data is consent – the data is stored until its withdrawal or until the objective for which it was obtained ends.

Data recipients

We provide personal data to companies with which we cooperate as part of IT services, as well as, if necessary, to organizations involved in the fulfillment of the Scholarship Programme, and to authorized state authorities.

Your rights related to the processing of personal data

Because we handle your personal data, you have:

  1. the right to withdraw the consent to data processing (if you give it), which, however, will not affect the period before its withdrawal,
  2. the right to access personal data,
  3. the right to request rectification of personal data,
  4. the right to request the erasure of personal data,
  5. the right to request restriction of personal data processing,
  6. the right to transfer personal data, i.e. the right to receive your personal data from us in a structured, commonly used machine-readable IT format, if such transmission is technically possible.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory body dealing with the protection of personal data in your country or in Poland, i.e. with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection with its registered office in Warsaw at Stawki 2 street.

Providing data is mandatory to participate in the Scholarship Programme. If you do not provide them, you will not be able to participate in this programme.
