Jacek Ozimkowski – bass; he graduated from Wladysław Zelenski State School of Music from the organ class of professor Andrzej Białko. In 1995 he graduated with distinction from The Music Academy of Krakow, where he studied under direction of professor Wojciech Jan Smietana. After the graduation Jacek Ozimkowski has become the junior lecturer in the professor’s class.

In 1995 he won the European contest and obtained YAMAHA scholarship and the Minister’s of Culture diploma for eminent artistic achievements. In the course of two years ( 1997-1999) he was the junior lecturer in the class of professor Ryszard Karczykowski, the well known Polish tenor, the teacher of singing. In may of 2003 Ozimkowski gained a doctorate in vocal art. In September of 2004 won an open competition for the post of a lecturer of The Music Academy of Krakow, where currently directs a class of the Vocal-Drama Department. Since 1996 has been a lecturer of Wladysław Zelenski State School of Music in Krakow teaching singing.

He performs countrywide and abroad like Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, the USA, Ukraine, Lithuania, Italy and China. Participated in many recordings for the Polish radio and television. Jacek Ozimkowski’s repertoire consists of opera pieces by Mozart, Weber, Verdi, Moniuszko, Tchaikovsky and many others. His repertoire comprises as well the oratorial – cantata and lyrical music pieces. Jacek Ozimkowski is one of the leading soloists of Capella Cracoviensis ensemble and cooperates with Krakow’s Opera and The Musical Theater in Gliwice. From 1998 he has cooperated with the Swiss agency Art Media with which he annually performs on tours in Europe, particularly in the Scandinavia, acting, among others, the roles of Sarastro, Leporello,Osmino and Figaro.

On 31st of December 1999 Jacek Ozimkowski participated The Grand Mozart Gala in Karlsruhe (Germany). In 2003, on invitation of Krakow’s Opera, sang the arias of Mephistopheles by Gounod and Scarpia from ‘Tosca’ by Puccini at The Grand Opera Gala. In the Musical Theater of Gliwice Ozimkowski participated in the premiere ‘The Barber of Seville’ by Rossini in the role of Don Basilio. In December 2002 in Krakow he sang at the anniversary concert for Wojciech Kilar, performing in the part of Kilar’s monumental work – ‘Missa Pro Pace’ – the Krakow’s premiere.

In 2002-2003 season Jacek Ozimkowski participated the premiere of ‘The Rape of Lukretia’ by Britten in Krakow’s opera. Took a part in baroque music festivals like the International Bach Festival in Swidnica ( cantata BWV 11and BWV 179,the role of Bartolo in ‘La nozze di Figaro’ by Mozart, the role of Garibaldo from Handel’s ‘Rodelinda’ ), ‘Music in Old Cracow’, and ‘Forum Musicum’ in Wroclaw, which is Poland’s biggest old music festival. Jacek Ozimkowski acted there in the role of Zoroastre in opera ‘Orlando’ and in the character of Garibaldo in opera ‘Rodelinda’ by Handel.

In September 2008 he performed at the festival in Nysa and at the final concerts of International Music Festival in Mielec and Lancut, singing there Missa Solemnis by Beethoven together with the leading Polish artists under Marek Pjanowski’s baton. In 2008 Jacek Ozimkowski performed in Krakow’s Opera in the character of Surin in ‘The Queen of Spades’ by Tchaikovsky and in the role of Dottore Grenvil in Verdi’s ‘La Traviata’. In 2009 at the same opera’s stage has acted Ceprano in ‘Rigoletto’ by Verdi.
