Dr hab. Joanna Małgorzata Łukasik, prof. URK – professor at the University of Agriculture in Krakow; senior lecturer at Academy of Music in Kraków. In her scientific work, since the mid-’90s, prof. Łukasik conducts research on teachers’ everyday life (in the personal, family, and professional context) and personal development of teachers, as well as teachers’ staffroom communities. Her research interests also focus on issues related to pedagogical teacher education (including pedagogical competences).

She is the author of 8 monographs (including Diary competitions in pedeutology. Traditions. Tendencies. Perspectives of Research. Krakow 2020; Getting to know oneself and taking care of development. On the way to success. Krakow 2016; Experiencing everyday life – teachers’ narratives at the turn of life. Krakow 2013). Joanna Małgorzata Łukasik is the scientific editor of 15 multi-author monographs, the author of over 150 scientific articles, as well as numerous studies for teachers. She carries out and implemented over a dozen research projects (including international ones in cooperation with, inter alia, universities from Germany, Lithuania, Bulgaria). She is a supervisor in 4 doctoral dissertations. Moreover, Prof. Łukasik performs significant functions in scientific organizations (i.e. Secretary of the Pedeutology Section of the Polish Academy of Sciences  – during years 2020-2023; member of the presidium of the Main Board of the Polish Pedagogical Association), as well as in international scientific journals.

Her passions and personal interests are: Byzantine history and culture; icon, iconography and icon writing; the culture of the Bakongo ethnic group; historical and psychological novel; poetry; singing; horse riding; travels.
