mgr Barbara Białko
Barbara Białko is a teacher with over 35 years of experience. She graduated from the State Secondary Music School in Kraków (rhythmics, piano) and the Faculty of Music Education of the Academy of Music in Kraków. Since 1984 she has been associated with the Władysław Żeleński State Secondary School of Music in Kraków, where she teaches rhythmics, improvisation and methodology of teaching rhythmics. Since 2000, she has been an academic teacher (senior lecturer) at the AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków, where she teaches rhythmics and solfedge at the Faculty of Acting and also (since 2006) the Academy of Music in Kraków, where as senior lecturer she conducts classes of rhythmics, improvisation, methodological subjects with students specializing in rhythmics as well as methodology of conducting music and movement classes at the Faculty of Art Education in the field of musical art. She expands and constantly develops her knowledge and skills by participating in courses, seminars, workshops and scientcsessions, among others at the Jaques-Dalcroze Institute in Geneva, the UMFC in Warsaw, the Music Academies in Łódź, Poznań and Katowice, led by outstanding personalities from the world of rhythmics. She is the initiator of numerous scientific-artistic and educational projects, among them the International Seminar for Teachers of Rhythmics in Kraków (7 editions since 2006), musical performances for children of Kraków kindergartens, schools, educational and childcare centers and centers for disabled children, scientific sessions on various aspects of the rhythmic method, and also annual concerts promoting the rhythmics.
For many years of artistic and pedagogical activity, she received the Medal of the National Education Commission, the honorary distinction “Zasłużony dla Kultury Polskiej” and the Gold Medal “For Many Years of Service”.
