mgr Katarzyna Słota-Marciniec
She graduated from Music Academy in Krakow, majoring in solo singing under the tuition of prof. Izabella Jasińska – Buszewicz. After graduating she has been developing her singing during several Master Courses under tuition of R. Karczykowski as well as other tutors like: Ch. Elssner, P. Tschaplik, A. Pearce. She also graduated from Jagiellonian Uniwersity (psychology). While being a student she took part in a lot of Academy`s realizations (for instant The Third Lady in Magic Flute by W.A. Mozart performed on stage at the Krakow Opera).
After finishing studies her first appearance on professional stage was a role of Francisca in musical West Side Story by L. Bernstein (Theater in Schwedt, Germany). In 2002 she started cooperation with the Krakow Opera in E. Humperdinck`s Hänsel und Gretel (as Hänsel). In 2006 she was engaged in Music Theatre in Gliwice as Gigi Orlovsky in Fledelmaus by J. Strauss. Her interests include also interpretations of songs and operetta. She has specialized in musical performances addressed to children: since 1999 she is involved (as a singer and speaker) in preparing and making concerts for children for Krakow Philharmonic, “Malwa” Modern Music Club and other cultural centers in Krakow.
In 2015 she has been honored by the President of Krakow with “Honoris Gratia” badge.
Since 2009 works as a singing teacher in Music Middle School im. Br. Rutkowskiego in Krakow.
As an academic tutor she cooperates with Jagiellonian University, carrying Voice Projection Courses in Pedagogy Institute, Collegium Medicum as well as in Center of Excellence for Academic Teaching and Learning – Ars Docendi UJ.
She also works for Music Academy in Krakow since 2006, where she is lecturing on Vocal Projection Classes for the graduate studies of Music Therapy, and since 2011 for the students of Composition, Interpretation and Musical Education Faculty where she also lectures Voice Hygiene and Psychology of Music.
