Mariusz Ciołko is a graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw (now the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music UMFC), where he studied with Bronisława Kawalla, gaining a diploma with distinction. He had earlier competed the secondary music school in Białystok. In 1997 he joined the faculty of the Warsaw Academy’s Branch in Białystok, first as an assistant in the class of WItalis Raczkiewicz  and then as associate professor. From  March 2014 , after completing his post – doctoral studies in musical arts, he runs a piano class at Warsaw Academy’s Branch in Białystok.
In 2016-2019 he was appointed Head of the Faculty of Music Education (Piano, Harpsichord and Organ). In 2016 he started teaching  at the Karol Szymanowski  State Music School in Warsaw.
From 2018 he is a member of Piano Department in Academy of Music in Kraków.
While still a second – year student, he appeared  at the National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw  as the solist in the first performance of Maciej  Małecki’s Concert Rondo  for piano and orchestra. He recorded the work, together with Gershwin’s Rhapsody in blue, for Polish Television. He performs regurarly in Pooland and abroad (Lithuania, Belarus, Lebanon). He has given concerts  with the Symphony Orchestra of the Music Academy in Warsaw  and the Symphony Orchestra of the Podlasie Philharmonic in Białystok . He has also worked closely with the conductor Mirosław Jacek Błaszczyk, Marcin Nałęcz-Niesiołowski, the cellist Tomasz Strahl and the singer Piotr Kusiewicz.
In 1999 to mark the 150th anniversary of the death of Chopin he recorded a selection of the composer’s works  for Polish Television’s Bialystok Centre. In 2017 he had recorded  disk with  piano music of  Roman Maciejewski.
He is invited to the jury of national and international piano copmpetition.
