prof. dr hab. Janusz Antonik
He has been associated with the Academy of Music in Kraków since 1985 as an assistant, lecturer and currently assistant professor. In 2013 he was awarded the title of PhD in art. He studied in the clarinet class of prof. Stanislaw Przystasia. He participated in many music courses under the direction of such authorities as Andrzej Janicki, Guy Deplus and Guy Dangain. He performs as a soloist and chamber musician. He took part in many festivals and music events, such as: Warsaw Autumn, Music in Old Cracow, Colours of Poland, Days of Grażyna Bacewicz, Days of Cracow Composers, Tyniec Organ Recitals, Contemporary National Schools (Cracow), Summer Concerts of Radio Cracow, Usedomer Musikfestival, and Schubertiaden Sneckenburg (Germany). He has made Polish and world recordings and premieres. He conducts numerous courses, show lessons and clarinet seminars and sits as a jury member in competitions and auditions.
He is the first clarinettist, soloist of the Karol Szymanowski Philharmonic. He has given concerts in many European countries, the USA, Canada, Japan and South Korea. He collaborates with Sinfonia Varsovia and the Beethoven Academy Orchestra.
