dr Klaudia Strączek
Klaudia Syjud graduated the Academy of Music in Kraków (2016) in the piano class of prof. Andrzej Pikul and Gajusz Kęska (2nd degree studies). She also studied rhythmics (1st degree studies) in the class of Magdalena Stępień (2014). In 2020 she received a PhD in art in the artistic discipline of instrumental studies.
She is a winner of the school competition “I play with an orchestra” in the Academy of Music in Kraków (2014). In the Czech Republic, she won 3rd place at the “Music Seasons” International Festival for Young Musicians in Prague (2015) in the solo category, and 3rd place in the duo category. She is a finalist of the “Art duo Music Festival” International Competition in Berlin (2015) in the solo and also in the duo category. She won 2nd place at the “Grand Prize Virtuoso” competition in London in the solo category – the prize was a performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London (2016). She won 3rd place in the International Rising Star Competition – Berlin 2016 in a duet category (with marimba). She got a distinction at the same competition in a duet with a cello. Together with her sister – Wioletta Strączek (flute) – won the first place in December 2017 at the Ludwig van Beethoven International Competition in Vienna.
She has performed with many orchestras, such as: Chamber Orchestra of the Academy of Music in Krakow – solo part of the W.A. Mozart Piano Concerto in G major, KV 453, Krakow (2014); Border Guard Representative Orchestra from Nowy Sącz – R. Addinsell “Warsaw Concert” at the Silesian Philharmonic (2016), at the National Philharmonic-Warsaw (2016), MCK Sokół in Nowy Sącz (2014); Wind Orchestra of the Academy of Music in Krakow; Sinfonia Carpathia; Concert Orchestra from Warsaw.
She has recorded many CDs, incl. the concerts during the Organ Festival in Leżajsk with the Representative Orchestra of the Border Guard (2013).
As an accompanist, she received awards during competitions and auditions:
5th Festival in Kielce (2020, 2018); XI Confrontations of Wind Instruments in Nowy Targ (2020); 5th National Competition of Brass Instruments in Katowice (2019); XIII National Competition “JUPITER” in Krakow (2019); 3rd National Competition for Wind Instrument Classes in Wadowice (2019); 12th International Competition of Wind Instruments in Piotrków Trybunalski (2018); The International Wind Instrument Competition – Brno (2017); National Violin Competition in Cieszyn (2016); The National Clarinet Competition in Sosnowiec (2016); CEA Auditions for Wood and Brass Instruments 1st and 2nd degree (2016, 2017). As an accompanist, she has taken part in many prestigious international competitions, incl. the International ARD Competition in Munich or the 8th International Carl Maria von Weber Bassoon Competition in Wrocław.
She is an accompanist of the Summer Academy of Music in Krakow, the International Courses of Music Interpretation in Nowy Sącz, the Małopolska Academy of Talents, and the Study for Brass Bandmasters.
She took part in the masterclasses training by outstanding pianists, such as: Paul Badura-Skoda, Dmitrij Bashkirov, Anna Malikova, Manfred Aust and Roberto Russo.
Currently, she works at the Academy of Music in Krakow as an accompanist at the Instrumental Faculty, as well as at the Composition, Interpretation and Musical Education Faculty.
She is a techater in primary and secondary schools.
