Joanna Kwinta graduated with distinction from Prof. Elżbieta Stefańska’s harpsichord class at the Academy of Music in Krakow.
She has also improved her professional skills attending the early music courses conducted by Huguette Dreyfus, Kenneth Gilbert, Jos van Immerseel, Mark Kroll, Leszek Kędracki and Jacques Ogg.
In 1995 she was awarded the Polish Cultural Foundation price for young artists.
Together with the Consortium Iagellonicum ensemble and Elżbieta Stefańska she took part in the recording of Harpsichord Concerts of Johann Sebastian Bach published by DUX, nominated for Fryderyk Music Award in 1998.
Joanna Kwinta has participated in various festivals as the soloist as well as the member of chamber orchestras. She has performed many concerts with Elżbieta Stefańska. In 2008 she recorded a DVD for IMC Music Publisher with J. S. Bach’s works.
In years 2003-2010 she was the president of the Polish Bach Society in Krakow.
She has been working at the Academy of Music in Krakow since 1995.
