BIP Orchestra Tipica di Tango
For whom? violin, viola and cello students

Virtual component: 4 hours of lessons divided into 2 lessons of 2 hours
Specific requirements: YouTube link to a video, 10-15 minutes of the student’s choice.
This BIP is part of the “Orchestra tipica di Tango Lab” of the Cagliari Conservatory, that has been held for the last 3 years. The Cagliari Conservatory is the only one in Italy, and one of the few in Europe, to include in its educational offer the study of the Bandoneon as a main instrument, under the guidance of Prof. Fabio Furia. The Orchestra tipica di Tango is made up of violin, viola, cello, double bass, piano, bandoneon and accordion. The BIP is aimed at involving violin, viola and cello students from all over Europe.

Alessandro Scarlatti Tercentenary BIP
For whom? singers, string players, keyboardists, composers & other interested students
Physical mobility: June 29th-July 6th, 2025
The program comprises two masterclasses for keyboard players, one for singers, a short conference and the performance (and preparation) of the Oratorio „La santissima Annunziata”, four voices , strings and continuo.
The BIP will take place from June 29th to July 6th: the keyboard masterclasses (Ribeiro, Sanguinetti) and the conference will take place in the first three days, then the rehersals for the performance of the Oratorio will begin, under the baton of Federico Maria Sardelli, a well known specialist in Italian Baroque music (4 singers, strings, two keyboard players).

BIP „Modern & Contemporary Guitar Music: BIP 2025”

Physical mobility: 31 March – 4 April 2025
Virtual component: before the physical mobility, will be specified later
From March 31st to April 4th, 10 hours in face to face lessons during 5 days, period for 2-hour lesson daily. Students will be able to propose, and play contemporary pieces during the course. A concert will be organized during the last day of the BIP in which students will play. The blended intensive program will take place in parallel with the International Guitar Festival, organised by the Steffani Conservatory, which will feature concerts, lectures and masterclasses.

- 1-3 educators from each collaborating institution (preferably with a background in electroacoustic composition, performance or sound engineering);
- A minimum of 5 students from each collaborating institution (spanning various musical disciplines: composers, instrumentalists, electroacoustic performers, sound technicians and
visual artists)

BIP will focus on the composition for solo instrument and electronics.

BIP “Orchestral meeting: from symphony to soloist concert”
For whom? students: 4 violins, 2 violas, 2 cellos
Physical mobility: 3-7 February 2025
Virtual component: an online lesson / presentation of the project (before the physical mobility)
This activity is focused on the preparation of a concert with the Conservatory Orchestra over the course of a week, in which rehearsals, classes and the concert itself will be scheduled. The works to be performed are Symphony No. 8 by L. van Beethoven, Concerto for Vibraphone and Orchestra by E. Séjourné, and Tzigiane by M. Ravel.

Participants must apply for the Erasmus+ BIP grant at their home institution (accommodation, travels cost need to be covered by the participants). No fees for the BIP will be charged.
IPCB can provide participants with free meals (lunch and dinner) and all offer free cultural programme. The accommodation can be in our student residence for a price of €7.5 per night, in a shared room.
