Katedra Instrumentów Dętych Drewnianych i Akordeonu zaprasza na recital i warsztaty mistrzowskie z cyklu „Per academiam ad astra”. Warsztaty poprowadzi zwycięzca ARD International Music Competition w Monachium – Joë Christophe (Francja).

In 2019, Joë Christophe confirmed his artistic singularity by winning 1st Prize at the Cluj International Competition in Romania, and, the following month, 1st Prize and 6 special prizes at the prestigious ARD Competition in Munich, launching his career as a performer to international stature.

As a soloist with major orchestras (DSO Berlin, SWR Stuttgart, München Rundfunkorchester and Kammerorchester, Philharmonie Dessau…) or as a chamber musician at numerous festivals, his career has taken him to the most prestigious concert halls throughout Europe.

A clarinetist much appreciated and recognized by his peers, he is regularly invited to give masterclasses all over the world (France, Belgium, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Mexico, China, USA…).

As an orchestral clarinettist, Joë is invited to play principal clarinet with prestigious orchestras such as the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam, the Orchestre de l’Opéra de Paris, the Orchestre National de France and the Luxembourg Philharmonic.

Featured on Rolando Villazón’s Stars von Morgen in 2020, Joë Christophe took part in the prestigious Debüt im Deutschlandfunk Kultur program in Berlin in 2021.
In France, he is nominated in 2023 in the „Instrumental Soloist Revelation” category at the Victoires de la Musique Classique awards.

Joë Christophe is an ambassador for the internationally renowned wind instrument manufacturer Henri Selmer Paris.
