W ramach projektu Akademia Orkiestrowa zapraszamy na kurs mistrzowski z Lią Vielhaber (wiolonczela).
Akademia Orkiestrowa AMKP to pionierski projekt współpracy z krakowskimi orkiestrami i instytucjami kultury, zainicjowany w listopadzie 2024 roku przez Akademię Muzyczną im. Krzysztofa Pendereckiego w Krakowie. Nasza uczelnia wspólnie z Filharmonią Krakowską, Capellą Cracoviensis, Operą Krakowską, Orkiestrą Akademii Beethovenowskiej, Orkiestrą Stołecznego Królewskiego Miasta Krakowa Sinfonietta Cracovia podejmują współpracę w zakresie poszerzenia działalności artystycznej oraz wzajemnego prowadzenia praktyk zawodowych i staży studenckich.

Lia Vielhaber was born in 1999 in Stuttgart and began cello lessons with Urs Läpple in 2003. From 2008 onward, she also studied with Prof. Rudolf Gleißner. After winning numerous first prizes in regional solo and chamber music competitions, she went on to achieve international success in competitions in Bulgaria, Croatia, Latvia, Italy, and other countries. She regularly performs at international music festivals.
As a soloist, she has performed with renowned orchestras both in Germany and abroad. She has played with the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra under Wojciech Rajski, the Sinfonietta
Tübingen under Radoslaw Szulc, and the Southwest German Chamber Orchestra Pforzheim under Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt. In 2014, she performed Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations with the
Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Petr Vronský as part of the internationally broadcast Euroradio Youth Concert in Prague. In 2015, she recorded Paganini’s Moses Fantasy for Sony Classical.
Since April 2022, she has been the Solo Cellist of the Bruckner Orchestra Linz. In April 2024, she performed Elgar’s Cello Concerto as a soloist with the Bruckner Orchestra Linz under the direction of Harry Ogg in the Great Hall of the Brucknerhaus. Since 2017, Lia Vielhaber has been studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Prof. Stefan Kropfitsch. Additionally, she has been a substitute cellist at the Vienna State Opera and the Vienna Philharmonic since 2019, where she held a fixed-term contract from September 2021 onward. Alongside her solo and orchestral career, she regularly teaches masterclasses and is frequently invited as a jury member for competitions. She plays a copy of a cello by Ferdinando Gagliano from 1711, built around 1920 by Rafaelle and Giuseppe Calace.
